Poem 206 - The Soup

My shoes were wet and muddy, after walking in the rain
I went into a diner, for my stomach was crying in vain
Red hot soup, arrived on the dinner table
The waiter placed it, it shook, then it was stable
A red hot tomato soup, with bread pieces in it, I took a sip
The soup too hot, burnt my throat and lip
But it felt good, on a cold, wet and rainy night
And into a bread piece I took a bite
Thanks dear soup for making me warm
Don't you think it's nice to drink when its raining, or during a storm?

Poem 205 - The Funny Shoes

Mr. Smith's funny little shoes
Sometimes seemed too tight, sometimes too loose
Oh Mr. Smith didn't know his left from his right
And when he wore it wrong, he pondered about the mystery all night
And which shoe was for which foot he couldn't choose

Poem 204 - The Black Hole

I'm the black hole sitting here absorbing space
I wonder if I'll reach the human race
There is no time inside me, I just eat it
And still just absorbing space, there I sit
I am dangerous, for you don't know what's inside me
I am the feared black hole, the great and mighty
But now I feel sad, for my job is boring
And I've got tired of this job of time storing
And I never seem to be full, always need to eat
So in my dark world, time I do greet

Poem 203 - Halloween

Mr. Smith opened his house door to see the British Queen
And from behind her came the funny Mr. Bean
And Mr. Smith stared at them as they said trick or treat
Not realizing it was children, he wondered why they were acting weird on the street
Oh poor Mr. Smith didn't realize its Halloween!

Poem 202 - Painting It Yellow?

He appeared healthy, but a bit Sallow was Mr. Nate
Though I would like to, unfortunately I can't illustrate
And when Mr. Jake asked him, "What happened dear fellow?"
Falsely he said, "Oh Jake, can't you see I've painted my face yellow?"

Poem 201 - School Trip

And I had been to a trip with my school
It was really fun, and cool
Having fun with friends for four days
And in Kerala the wonderful overnight stays
Going shopping and riding on the ferry
It was really fun, it was all merry
Dancing and singing
Talking And Laughing
Everything went really, very well
And the whole thing to you to I can't really tell

Poem 200 - The Lady

A scream, as I walk through the woods
My bag full of medicines and other goods
And I bravely went towards the scream on the heavenly lane
For it was a scream not of joy or anger, but filled with pain
I saw a cottage, pretty strange to be in the middle of nowhere, I went there all the same
I knocked, wondering whether I should retreat my steps, for no one came
That's when I heard a pain filled groan from behind the door
I opened the door, for I could wait no more
And you want to know what I saw in there?
A poor, sick lady sobbing in her chair
I touched her head and I knew she had fever
Taking some medicine I made her swallow it, for I could not leave her
And now whenever I pass the cottage, I always stop for tea
Yes, she's fine again, a bit of kindness saved her you see?

Poem 199 - Sour Day

Mr. Smith took a ripe lemon off a tree
Thinking its a sweet lime he took  a bite into it with glee
So sour it was that he closed his eyes
He started dancing around in surprise
He went to his wife and told "To Sweet Limes I Do Have An Allergy"

OH poor Mr. Smith!

Poem 198 - A fresh new start

As creativity comes back into me
I get this feeling that makes me happy and free
And sometimes even though I don't know what to write
I come hear to write which makes my heart light

Though I haven't written quite a lot this year
With new thoughts and hope I come over here
I really don't want to be absent in the place where I can dream my dreams
Think the unthinkable, and write for new memes

Poem 197 - The prank not played

So many pranks played on me by my sister
So I decided to play a wonderful prank on her
To scare her from under the table was the prank I did pick
But sitting under the table, gave my neck a crick
I come out of the table, wondering if anyone has finished this prank, ever?

Poem 196 - Rains

I jump in puddles and dance in the rain
The heavens have opened so lets have fun
The water has started to flood this lane
Hiding behind the gray clouds is the sun
I am soaked wet but it's still fun to play
Yet, I love the rain, so I hope it does stay
The farmers for this rain they must have prayed
Their plants might have died in the summer heat
But the potters might be cursing this rain
Because they work hard to make their ends meet
Pots won't dry, so the farmers are now in vain
But I love the rain as it's fun for me
I feel so happy and I feel so free

Poem 195 - The beach

I am on the beach flying my kite
Me and my sister having a kite fight
Behind us dad give's a shock to my sister and me
BOO! He makes us drop the kite spool in the sea
Our unlucky dad pulls money out of his wallet making it light

And there it was two new kites

Poem 194 - Mother Nature

Sitting in the woods, peering through trees
I hear the chirping of birds and buzzing of bees
It felt great to be sitting right there
I decided to lie down at the sky I did stare

It felt great to have nature surrounding me
I felt like the birds I'd seen happy and free
It was like a painting - a wonderful scene
Sitting there surrounded by nature, so many things I'd seen

I also felt the happiness of having peace
And there I sat peering through the trees
It was really such a wonderful nature
And when we did harm it we did act so immature

God has made this nature beautiful and wide
So we should always be there at natures side
So not to harm nature is our duty
So let's just admire Gods creativity and mother nature's beauty

Poem 193 - Biscuit Please!

When I am Hungry and I can't find any food
And my tummy makes noises that sound very rude
To ask for a biscuit I run to my mother
When she shakes her head I say ",Oh! Bother"

After begging and begging I get the biscuit tin in the end
And every single biscuit turns out to be my friend
I felt hungry, even after emptying the biscuit tin
And when I ask my mother for food, she gave me a grin

Poem 192 - Trapped In Disguise

Playing on the beach, digging in the sand for shells
I dig out a bottle, see a strange sight
Inside the bottle there is a tiny boy
I rub my eyes, he is there all right

But it's not any boy, but a smaller version of me
So very strange it does seem!
I get scared, I throw the bottle into the sea
That's when I woke up to find out that I had a dream

Poem 191 - Awesome Sister

This poem is dedicated to my wonderful sister - Ashwini.

My dear sister is wonderful
And she is indeed beautiful
Sometimes we get angry and we fight
But the following day we hardly remember the previous night

Sometimes I might be angry with her
But she is a wonderful dear
For she's helped me a million times
She even helped me match some rhymes

I have so much fun with my sister
Though sometimes I feel she is sinister
I love my sister a lot
Though at times I am angry after we've fought

Poem 190 - Road Of Life

Walking in the woods, humming a soft song
My jacket is hung over my shoulder
Spring has come, now nothing can go wrong
Nature is blooming, but growing older
Birds chirping, Bees humming, Flowers blooming
I love this season everything feels right
The good is here and evil is dooming
I stop for a moment my mind feels light
It's a beautiful place, peaceful and nice
Spots of light passed through gaps in leaves on trees
To make all this God must be kind and wise
I felt really fresh as there blew a breeze
I wish life was like this, this beautiful way
I hope it goes on like this everyday

Poem 189 - In a supermarket

I saw an old man picking many cans of cokes
I watched amused, as he dropped them into his trolley
I took my things and went near the counter
I had some change left, I picked up a lolly

I go to the counter and I'm right behind the "coke man"
I see the cashier's reaction, as the man puts many cans of coke on the counter
The man asks for the bill, as the cashier counts the cans, with a smile
Seeing the bill, the man did saunter

He pulled out a tattered wallet, and took out some cash
He gave it to the cashier, and took the plastic bag
I wondered how it fit in one plastic bag
At the car seeing the bill, his wife did nag

Poem 188 - Love to break free

I watched as a small crowd gathered in the shop
Looking at the latest beautiful paintings on sale
I myself stared at this one picture, wondering what it meant
What made it so special, hanging on that rusty nail?

I just stared at it deep inside, wondering it that's what is real art
And for a moment, I could see the colors move about
Was it an illusion no it wasn't
Keep me safe with you, it seemed to shout

So, before any hand could pick up that painting
I removed it from the nail, and took it away
Yes, I seemed to understand the love inside it
I knew it wasn't my mind making the colors sway

I knew I understood the hard work, the love
The creativity, the purpose, the happiness
This was what I really could call art
While maybe others think it is a mess
